I am not a big sports fan or anything. But observing human being based on sports event is pretty interesting. This video was created right after the last night’s UNC victory. 931 images were taken to create this timelapse of human crowds at the intersection of Franklin and Columbia street.
I used to live in North Carolina before I moved up here and I didn’t know how many people lived there until now.

Aurumania, a Scandnavian bicycle company, took track bike to a whole new level and created a Gold Bike Crystal Edition that every visible surface are plated with 24-carat gold and decorated with more than 600 Swarovski cystals. The price for this intense fixed gear bike is over $108,000 and will delivered to you personally anywhere in the world via white glove service. Impressive, impressive… I wonder what it feels like to do wheelie on this bike. Sometimes, bike can cost more than your car.

Happy day after St. Patrick’s day! I hope everybody get to drink at least one good beer and eat one (yummster) green cupcake. Yesterday, I spent part of my sunny St. Patrick’s day by going to Yoshitomo Nara’s solo exhibition at Marianne Boesky Gallery. He is one of my favorite artists from Japan and it was very nice to see his work so close for the first time. It is his fourth show at the gallery and every single piece there, including two immense sculptures, was well installed and looked amazing. When I was there, I really wished I was living in his world. It was lovely.
Exhibition runs until March 28, 2009. Step into the gallery if you have time for some sweet art.

Kunio Kato from Robot is a director/illustrator from Japan who recently won the Academy Award for best short film, La Maison en Pettis Cubes. He has very delicate stlye of illustration and most of his animation does not include dialogue. Just like his speech at the Oscars, his animation is very sweet. You can view entire La Maison en Pettis Cubes on YouTube by clicking part1 & part2.

Sebastian Lange from My Name Was God has created a very impressive motion piece called Fickermood. Amazing typographic treatment. I love how his animation is responding back to the music.

Designed by Silke Hilsing, Impress is a flexible display that consists of foam and force sensors. It works with the parameters position and time like other touch screens as well, but in addition to that, it reacts, above all, on the intensity of pressure.
The evolution of screens… never thought that was possible. I wonder if we can make a trampoline mat using this idea soon. Lose weight while you design. It will be pretty nerdy exercise.
